A Fall in Tural

Spoiler Warning!

LOTS of Spoilers for Dawntrail on this page!!!

This was a GPose project created for Elftober 2024. With Dawntrail fully released, I wanted to challenge myself to only take pictures within Dawntrail areas. This led to creating a bunch of little stories of Timpani’s actual adventures in Tural. A lot of them are independent from each other, but you can see little plots throughout!

More context can be found from the MSQ page!

A few of these are considered non-canon, and these have been labelled on the prompts.

Day 1: Hello

Howdy!! This is Elezen Tyym Paanih, here for Elftober and a Fall In Tural!

This month will feature some various, unconnected adventures in Tural (plus some non-canon moments).

I hope you enjoy!

Day 2: Monument

The monuments of Yok Huy and the many stories they tell… Tyym hopes she can tell the stories of others with such artistry as these.

Day 3: High Up

Tuliyollal is incredibly impressive from high up, there’s so much to see!

Day 4: Transport

Tyym’s helped the Pelupelu out at least a few times now. The alpacas have taken to her quickly; she hasn’t been spit at yet, against all odds…

Day 5: Glow

Tyym enjoys glowy things and Tyym enjoys blue things, so The Ja Tiika Heartland was naturally going to call to her strongly.

Day 6: Memory

A loooooong time ago, Tyym’s parents brought her with them on a trip to Tural. It’s been a while, but there are some memories (food) that have always stayed with her.

Day 7: Dry (Non-Canon)

“Stuck in the dry Shaaloani desert? Drink cactuar juice. It’ll quench ya! Nothing’s quenchier. It’s the quenchiest!”

Day 8: Unexplored

Tyym was asked to explore some unknown ruins, and they’re incredible! It’s so interesting seeing a civilization after all it’s people have- HUH??

Day 9: Autumn

While not the traditional Fall, the beautiful oranges and reds of Tural give Tyym that cozy Autumn feeling as she explores.

Day 10: Dangerous

During that brutal raid by Zarool Ja, Tyym was there. She’s not the greatest fighter, but she did what she could and saved a few people on the way. She stuck around for a while after that, taking care of the people and helping prep Tulliyolal for the next fight.

Day 11: Free Space (Non-Canon?)

“I thought the Warrior of Light cleared this place out… so how did THIS get here?”

Day 12: Knowledge (Follow-up to Day 8)

Tyym learned so much about the culture that used to live here, thanks to the little serpent she found!

Now, uh… if only she could read serpent…

Day 13: Clutter

Sometimes Tyym helps out the market vendors when she’s in Tulliyolal. They sure have a lot of stuff to organize…

Day 14: Stargazing

The wide open night skies have become a favorite for Tyym. So many stars out there!

Day 15: Wild

Generally Tyym’s pretty smart about what wildlife could be friendly. This wasn’t one of those times.

Day 16: Mystic

Tyym was helping out with some of the rituals that the Hanuhanu perform regularly. Was this supposed to happen?

Day 17: Frosty

The heights of Worqor Zormor are so pretty…

they’re also just…

so cold…

Day 18: Glittering (Follow-Up to Day 17)

The cold was worth the climb though, there are so many shiny things up here!

Day 19: Neon (Non-Canon)

None of the combatants at the Arcadion were ready for the Fortissimo Flash. It was said that they could move faster than the lights of Solution 9, and faster than any foe that came at them!

Day 20: Floating

Tyym didn’t get to see Living Memory before it was shut down; seeing the remaining memories float away gives her a sort of meloncholy.

“Could I have spread their songs further? Or is it better that they can finally rest?”

Day 21: Lightning (Non-Canon)

… IT WORKS?!?

Day 22: Reverant

It’s wonderful to see how Tulliyolal remembers and honors its history, as a stepping stone to find further peace in the future.

Day 23: Sleepy

Maybe it’s all the traveling already, but some towns just also tap into Tyym’s comfy feelings; she can easily fall asleep from there.

Day 24: Keepsake

Solution 9 is incredibly pretty and fun to explore, but it can definitely overwhelm Tyym. Thankfully she always has her lute on her travels; it was made by a close friend, and helps her center herself when she’s overwhelmed. She’s good at finding little nooks to rest and perform with it too, away from the busy world.

Day 25: Lucky

Tyym was helping make some of the Xibruq Pibil! Just gotta unearth the underground oven…

!!!!

THIS ISN’T THE FOOD.

Day 26: Comfort

The Tulliyolal Inns are SO NICE!! Their combination of cushiony comfort and open-air access is perfect for Tyym’s tastes.

Day 27: Companion (Follow-Up to Day 16)

The little corn, calling itself the Cornservant, has been sticking with Tyym for a while now. Not that she minds of course; she just never expected to journey with a… corn.

Day 28: Duty (Non-Canon/OOC)

Going completely OOC for this one! I just wanted to highlight The Skydeep Cenote, my favorite duty/dungeon of Dawntrail. The hauntingly beautiful music, the deep lore behind it, and the variety of breathtaking views make this one incredible to revisit. The mechs and bosses are really fun too!

Day 29: Surprise (Follow-Up to Day 12)

“Seeing the serpent’s ruins may have been my favorite adventure in Tural so far! I just hope that little serpent is okay, it left without a-WAAH!”

Day 30: Cave

A sudden dust storm forced Tyym into a nearby cave for shelter. Good thing there’s cool stuff to see inside!

Day 31: Haunted (Non-Canon)

Happy Halloween everyone!! And thank you for joining Tyym Paanih for a Fall in Tural!
